Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account details: name, email, date of birth, and gender. Only your first name and surname initial are ever shown to other members.

Profile content: the details, preferences, and photos you choose to add. Location metadata (EXIF) is automatically stripped from uploaded photos.

Usage data: login times and key account events (signup, payment, reports) including IP address, kept for security and fraud prevention.

Payment: card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers — we store only a Stripe reference token.

How we use it

To operate the service: showing your profile to other members, delivering messages, and processing membership payments.

To keep the community safe: investigating reports and enforcing our zero-tolerance rules.

To contact you: transactional emails about your account, payments, and messages.

Who can see your profile

Your profile and photos are visible to paying, active members only. They are not public and are not indexed by search engines.

Retention & deletion

Security event logs are retained for 12 months. To delete your account and personal data, contact support@letsdate.au and we will action it within 30 days, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.

Storage & processors

Data is stored on Google Cloud in Australia (Sydney region). We use Stripe for payments and Mailgun for email delivery.
